What cable length should I choose?
A longer cable gives you more flexibility, but it is also heavier, and may take a few extra minutes longer to fully charge your EV. Generally speaking, a 5 meters cable is usually sufficient if you typically park your car's charging socket closest to the terminal. Otherwise, choosing an 8 meters cable will allow you the freedom to park your car near the terminal however you like.
Is this cable compatible with my BEV and PHEV?
We recommend checking your car's specifications to see if it uses a Type 2 (IEC 62196) connector. Type 2 connector is the universal standard for EVs across Europe, and most EVs in Europe use the Type 2 connector. Our cables are compatible with all EVs that are equipped with a Type 2 connector.
22kW, 11kW, 7.2kW, or 3.6kW — which one should I choose?
We recommend you check your car's OBC (on-board charger) first to determine the maximum input power. It's nice to choose a cable that has the same maximum power output as your car's OBC. For example, if your car's OBC is 3.6kW, you can only charge your car with a maximum of 3.6kW, even if you use a 7kW, 11kW, or 22kW cable.
Since most PHEVs have smaller batteries and are therefore limited to 3.7kW/7kW charging, it makes more sense to buy a 3.7kW or 7kW type 2 charging cable.
Most BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) car chargers are rated at 11kW/7kW, so an 11kW or 7kW cable is sufficient. A few BEVs support 22kW AC charging capacities such as Model S/X, Zoe, Twingo ZE, EQ ForTwo, EQ ForFour, Taycan, i3, or I-PACE, which is why a 22kW cable would be the most suitable.
*If you are planning to upgrade your EV in the future, it would be wise to choose a future-proofing charging cable that supports higher wattage output.
What is the size of the storage bag?
Our storage bag measures 35cm x 35cm x 10cm —approximately the same size as a standard 16-inch laptop bag(41cm x 30cm x 5cm), but with greater depth.
Can this cable be used as an extension for my granny charger?
No. Our cable features a male Type 2 socket plug and a female Type 2 vehicle connector and is specifically designed to work with Type 2 EV charging stations, providing charging for EV/PHEVs that have a Type 2 charging port. However, it is not compatible with granny portable chargers.
Is it good to use for a rapid charge?
No. Our Type 2 cable is designed to work with AC fast charging and should not be used for DC rapid charging.
Does this cable come with EU quality certification such as CE?
Yes. Our Type 2 charging cables are CE/TUV compliant. The markings are located on the back of the cardboard box, specifically in the lower left corner.
What is the charging power of this cable?
Our cable comes in three power ratings: 22kW, 11kW, and 7.2kW. The maximum charging power of the Type 2 to Type 2 cable can vary depending on factors such as the charging station, cable, and EV compatibility, and usually corresponds to the minimum value among the power of the charging station, cable, and car charger. Typically, it ranges from 3.7 kW to 22 kW.
Does this cable come with a warranty?

Is this cable for DC charging or AC charging?
This Type 2 to Type 2 cable is for AC charging only, not for DC charging/rapid charging.

There isn't much to say about cables. I have read some reviews of cables where it is claimed they don't work in certain chargers. All I can say is this works fine, it is suitable thick and sturdy, coils up in its bag ok.

I bought this particular product based on my requirements for home charging. Considering other situations it may have been prudent to opt for the longer cable at 8 metres. 5 metres is adequate if you have immediate access to the charging point however, to be on the safe side and to cater for the extremest of situations the 8 metre cable would be the better choice. Unless you buy one of each!
